Chia seed pudding has a unique texture because the chia seeds make a gel-like outer layer on them when soaked in the milk. This is such an important part of why this snack feels so filling and carries a lot of benefits.

It’s also why chia seeds help improve gut health. Their ability to expand in such a way helps clear the intestinal pathway as they move through while being digested.

Variations to Four-Ingredient Chia Pudding Recipe

One of the many great things about chia seed pudding is that it can be made using your favorite choices of two of the main ingredients: milk and honey.

I love using almond milk as a healthy option and I enjoy the taste. You can use regular milk, skim milk, coconut milk, or any other milk you like best.

For sweetening the pudding up, I use honey. Honey is another healthy option with many benefits that is delicious as well. But, you can use any sweetener you like from maple syrup to liquid xylitol or any other sweetener you prefer.

Toppings

Here’s the fun part! Toppings are great way to add flavor and differing textures to your pudding. Toppings are a great expression of cravings and character! From sprinkles of seasonings to fresh fruit, it’s all about what you like.

Want to spice it up? Sprinkle a little of:

  • Pumpkin spice
  • Jam
  • Cardamom
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Or a combination of all

You can add fresh or dried fruits of your choice. I love adding fresh berries to my pudding cup. You can use fruit you have on hand or any fruit you feel would add the flavor you’re looking for.

Looking to add more texture or mix up flavors or add a hint more of sweetness. Add one or more of the following:

  • Coconut flakes
