Serving Options

Although this Refreshing Cucumber Salad is downright delicious all on its own, it would do wonders if accompanied by a worthy main attraction! Here are a few ideas for you!

If you are thinking protein, then I am sure you will find something to satisfy your cravings in my wide variety of beef and chicken based recipes.

However, I personally love pairing this salad with Middle Eastern food! We especially enjoy a Lebanese-style crunchy Cucumber-Yogurt Mint Garlic Salad with grape leaves; but this salad works too!

Variations of the Salad Dressing

My dressing for this summer Cucumber Salad calls for lemon juice, cumin, and salt. However, you will find plenty of delicious variations for the dressing; here are a few!

Vinegar Cucumber Salad: Toss your cucumbers with a mix of apple cider vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and pepper. Oh! You might want to add sliced onion to the mix; I heard the extra bite is amazingly delicious.

Asian Cucumber Salad: Now I’ve seen countless of video on TikTok absolutely taken away by this salad!

Apparently the mix of cucumber, salt, scallion, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup (or honey), and red chili paste, topped with toasted sesame seeds is jam-packed with Oh-My-God delicious flavors!

Tip 1: If you are dealing with bitter cucumbers, then soak them in salt water for a bit. This will also help with watery cucumbers.

Tip 2: Switch things up by using carrots instead of cucumbers. Follow the same exact instructions mentioned below, and enjoy a refreshing crunchy bite!

Tip 3: For extra flavor, add onion slices, fresh herbs, or whatever seems delicious to your mix.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I prepare this salad beforehand?

You can prepare this salad 3-4 hours in advance. Just make sure you mix the dressing in a separate jar, and toss it with your salad when you are ready to serve.

Can I store the leftovers?

Sure you can! Keep your leftover salad in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2-3 days.

Can I use other types of cucumbers?

I use English cucumbers because they are rich in flavor and contain less seeds than other types. But if you don’t have any, then regular seedless cucumbers work just fine.
