Homemade Cranberry Juice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag raw cranberries
  • 7 cups water
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup, or sugar

Instructions

  • In a medium pot, add the cranberries and water on high heat then simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Strain the cranberries, and return the cranberry juice to the pot.
  • Add 1/4 cup of honey, or maple syrup, or sugar on medium heat, stirring consistently until dissolved. 
  • Allow the cranberry juice to cool. Place in the refrigerator, or add ice cubes to a cup and pour over to enjoy.

Notes

Tips to Consider 
  • To strain the juice, use a fine mesh sieve and press the cranberries with the back of a spoon to get as much liquid as possible. You can also use your hands or a nut milk bag.
  • Start by adding a small amount of sugar, then taste in-between. Everyone likes a different level of sweetness, experiment and see what works best for you.
  • If you are using fresh fruits, make sure you wash them properly. However, if you chose to work with frozen, keep in mind that you need to thaw your bag of cranberries before starting.
