How to Pickle Cucumbers

- 1 cucumber
- 200 milliliters white vinegar
- 200 milliliters water
- 50 grams sugar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Slice the cucumbers around 2 mm thick.
Mix the sliced cucumbers with salt in a bowl. Let them set for 30 minutes.
Mix the water with the vinegar. Warm it just a little bit to dissolve the sugar in it. Let it cool.
Remove the salt, and drain the liquids from the cucumbers.
Place the cucumbers in a jar and cover them with the vinegar and water mix.
Cover and put the jar in the fridge for 3 hours or overnight.
- If you want to spice things up, you can add some jalapenos or red pepper flakes to this recipe. Delicious!
- White vinegar is always the first and most traditional option. However, if you like rice wine vinegar or apple cider, go for it, but it will change the flavor.
- You can add ginger, garlic, or any herbs that you know you like.
- The sweetener touch is as you prefer, some people like it tangy and some others prefer it sweeter.
- The shape of the cucumber pickles is completely up to you. If you want them round, then count them into slices 2 mm inch thick.
