Ingredients

Baked Corvina Fillet Ingredients

  • 1 whole corvina fish fillet 6 (4 ounces) fillets
  • cup lemon
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt and black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional

Tahini Dressing Ingredients

  • ½ cup tahini
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons parsley minced
  • salt to taste

Instructions

Baked Corvina Fillet

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper then spray with cooking oil.
  • Wash then pat dry the fillet then place on the prepared parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil all over the corvina filet then soak with the lemon juice.
  • Season with salt and black pepper. In addition, you can add garlic powder and paprika but that is totally optional.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes.

Tahini Dressing

  • Whisk together the tahini and water until well combined.
  • Pour in the lemon juice, salt, and minced garlic and continue to whisk.
  • Once the sauce is ready, stir in the minced parsley and enjoy.

Helpful Tips:
The most important tip for cooking corvina is not overbaking it because overbaked fish becomes tough and dry.
When baking corvina, season both sides with salt, pepper, and other spices so that it absorbs the seasoning and tastes much better.
To check doneness, remove the fish from the heat and poke it with a sharp knife. If the meat easily pulls away, you've got a good piece of corvina.
You can add some vegetables alongside the fish on the sheet pan. Cauliflower and peppers are great low carb vegetables and a rich source of vitamin C. Of course, you can serve baked corvina fillet with rice or potatoes.
