1cup mix of semi crushed walnuts, pistachio, cashew and almond
In a bowl, add the package of date paste, biscuits, butter or ghee, and coconut shreds, and mix well.
Sprinkle some coconut shreds on the bottom of a 8x8 pan.
Flatten down the mix with your hands covering the whole pan.
Meanwhile, add the nuts to a hot skillet. Toast them on medium heat until golden in color.
Take the nuts off of the heat and mix in the honey. Place the mix of nuts and honey on top of the layer of dates and press down while warm.
Garnish with unsweetened coconut flakes.
Insert some flavors into your Date Biscuit Nut Bars Recipe by adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the crust and enjoy the cinnamon-y sweetness!
For a healthier take, substitute the butter or ghee with coconut oil. You will also get to enjoy a slight coconut taste to your date bars.
You can use a mixer when working the butter into the sugar, but I prefer using the old fashioned way. Using your hands is quicker, easier, and perfect for mixing the tiniest bit of sugar with the melted butter.
