Smoked Cauliflower Steaks Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 whole head cauliflower
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • salt
  • cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 °F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and all of the spices.
  • Remove the green leaves from the root of the cauliflower.
  • Slice the washed cauliflower vertically to make 1 inch slices.
  • Place the slices on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the top of the cauliflower steaks with the seasoned olive oil. 
  • Bake at 400 °F for about 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  1. Make sure you leave the cauliflower stem intact since it will help hold the cauliflower steak together.
  2. Don't flip your cauliflower steaks while they are browning in the oven. Let's keep that beautiful presentation intact! You wouldn't want them to break!
  3. Cover your baking tray with foil during the first few minutes of roasting for very tender cauliflower steaks.
