Beef Shawarma Egg Rolls are the new HIT on my page! Tender and perfectly seasoned shawarma strips paired with pickles and tomatoes then drizzled or dipped in tahini sauce are nothing short of AMAZING! You have to try this to know what the big deal is.

By the way, these delectable shawarma rolls can be air-fried! Can you believe it? They taste so amazing! They only take a few minutes in the air fryer so you already know this is a quick and easy appetizer but I prefer to call it a meal!

But this time, for iftar during Ramadan, I fried them in a pan for a change. I got some golden extra crispy meat shawarma wraps. Heavenly!

High-Quality, Juicy, and Tender Beef Shawarma Egg Rolls!

The Beef Shawarma Egg Rolls are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside!

    What is Shawarma?

Traditionally, shawarma consists of meat like beef, chicken, or lamb cut into thin slices or stacked in a cone-like shape (most often seen in restaurants), and roasted on a slowly-turning vertical rotisserie or spit.

I just purchased the Emeril Lagasse 7 in 1 air fryer that allow you to place your protein on a vertical rotisserie. So, you already know I will be making my shawarma this way soon!

You will become a huge fan of this dish. Crispy on the outside just and oh so tasty on the inside! You can bake and deep fry these shawarma egg rolls! Keep in mind that air frying them is also a good option.

No Need to Ask “Shawarma Rolls Near Me”! Do It Yourself!

What Is Usually in Egg rolls?

An egg roll is a savory roll (although sweet egg rolls have been made) with shredded cabbage, chicken, beef or shrimp, and other desired fillings inside wrapped in a sheet of egg roll wrap (I use the Nasoya ones linked), which is fried in hot oil.

Shawarma egg rolls are inspired by the traditional Middle Eastern shawarma sandwich. Chefs usually prepare it by stacking layers of either meat or chicken to cook them.

Also, the meat or chicken are marinated before being stacked onto a tall skewer or what’s called a spit.

Next, the skewer is then placed into a heated steel encasing where it turns round and round until it is cooked to perfection. You can get shawarma sandwiches from your favorite Middle Eastern restaurants or you can make your own variations at home.

Delicious and Nutritious! Try it Now!

Do You Need a Spit to Make Beef Shawarma?

Of course, when you make them at home as I do, you don’t have to cook them the same exact way to get those yummy flavors. I use a large skillet and they turn out so tender, juicy, and super flavorful!

Shawarma is most famously served as a sandwich. The best way to make your meat shawarma sandwich is by putting the beef, adding parsley, onions, pickles of choice, tomatoes, and of course the ever-so-yummy tahini sauce.

You can enjoy your shawarma in regular old pita bread, or take it up a notch with this egg roll recipe!

Beef Shawarma Egg Rolls are great!

They are a lighter take on shawarma sandwiches.

You can bake or deep fry these delectable egg rolls. You can also put your air-fryer to good use!

Egg rolls can be frozen ahead of time! Upon serving, you take them out and fry them immediately. They will be ready in minutes

The beef shawarma tastes so much better with a crispy outer layer.

They can be served as an appetizer or as a main dish.

These amazing egg rolls stuffed with beef shawarma (or chicken shawarma for variations) are absolutely easy and convenient to make.

What makes them an excellent choice is that they are less messy when eating, especially for guests.

How to Bake or Air Fry Beef Shawarma egg rolls

    Can I Freeze Egg Rolls?

You can freeze eggrolls! You don’t even have to thaw them out when you are ready to eat them. Just place the egg rolls in the Air Fryer basket or in the skillet.

Air Fry for 10 minutes, making sure you turn them or shake them half way until they are brown and crispy! Keep a little longer if needed.

In the pan or skillet, egg rolls stuffed with shawarma need 1-2 minutes. Flip on the other side once it is golden crispy.

    Warm Tips

To get that crunchiness on your meat, you can slice the meat thinner.

You can also grill some of the meat a little extra to get those drier crunchier pieces you would get from using a spit.

Let your meat marinate for at least two hours, but this step is not necessary and I often skip it. It helps the meat to soak up the flavors.

Go all out in the toppings you are using in the egg roll.

For added convenience, finely chop any toppings so you can easily fold the egg roll.
