Allow me to introduce to you the drink that will delight your taste buds. The fantastic Cantaloupe Mora Smoothie is my favorite way to have a healthy and tasty drink that will be ready in no time with just a few simple fruity ingredients.

When you’re looking forward to opening that sweet juicy cantaloupe, but it turns out to have NO taste at all 🤭 bummer! I decided to shift to positive gears and turned that frozen cantaloupe in the plastic bag into a Cantaloupe Banana Mora Smoothie.

    Dreamy and Creamy

Creamy Cantaloupe smoothie topped with coconut whipped cream and strawberry.
A dreamy smoothie appealing in taste and appearance!

The result was incredibly delicious and refreshing. I only had a few sips because my family devoured it all. So I can’t wait to share with you a great way to have a fruit smoothie packed with vitamin C to fight the free radicals but at the same time full of flavor!

Being resourceful is important to me, as is offering my family healthy options for food and beverages. This smoothie fulfills both of those things.

Instead of throwing out a ripe cantaloupe, I decided to make something of it! It didn’t take me long to devise a delicious plan, knowing very well how much my family loves a thick smoothie. Doesn’t everyone?

    Benefits of Cantaloupe

I am almost sure that cantaloupes are an underrated fruit, with some google checks you can find out all the benefits of the sweet cantaloupe.

It contains lots of beta-carotene, that are transformed into vitamin A, acting like a super antioxidant.

Cantaloupes are packed with vitamin C which helps fight asthma, cancer, and diabetes.

It has vitamin B-9 or Folic acid that prevents birth defects and reduces the risk of some types of cancers.

It comes with a high water content. Great choice to stay hydrated.

Fiber is also included in the list of benefits of this amazing fruit. This is essential to reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes and is an ally when it comes to weight loss.

How to Choose the Best Cantaloupe

As you can tell, the key ingredient for this smoothie recipe is cantaloupe, and summer means fresh cantaloupe. The trick here is how to spot the best ones!

You got to smell those babies! Yes, we are talking about a naturally sweet fruit here, so they have that sweet and distinct aroma.

Walk away from the cantaloupes that have a brownish color or soft spots.

The best texture of this healthy fruit, whether you want it on your menu for a fruit salad or smoothie, is firm, not mushy, or too hard.

Also, avoid the ones that have the stem, which means it was harvested before it was ready.

Choose the one that has a rind that looks like a raised net.

    Why Cantaloupe Mora Smoothie?

This smoothie is so delicious that even if you drink it at home you will feel it like you are drinking it by the oceanside.

    Super easy to find ingredients!

The blending process of this beauty is so easy. Just toss the ingredients with some ice cubes into the blender and you got yourself the best smoothie ever!

It’s as healthy as it could be.

Perfect for a light dessert or a celebration party beverage.

Kids will love its sweet taste and appealing color (great way to sneak in nutrients)

You don’t need to add sugar and ruin your diet because cantaloupes make the smoothie sweeter.

Pro Tips for the Best Smoothie
