Grilled To Perfection
The Best Boiled Hot Dog
This is the perfect way to cook hot dogs. It’s easy and super quick. You got surprise guests for lunch or even dinner and you need to quickly prepare a meal? Just throw your hot dogs in the boiling pot of water and they will be ready in no time!
The boiling method is ideal for feeding a crowd, it only needs around 5 minutes. However, it might need a little more time if you’re preparing a large number of hot dogs all at once.
You only need the two most obvious ingredients here; hot dog and water. So here’s how you make them, In a medium pot, add 1 quart of water and 1 package of hot dogs. Bring to a boil for about 5 minutes.
After that, turn the heat off and then use tongs to remove the hot dogs or drain the water. Finally, place them on a plate covered with a paper towel to drain for about 2 minutes.
Oven Roasted Hot Dogs
Just like boiled hot dogs, oven roasting is a great way for cooking them if you’re feeding a large crowd of hungry kids. One small difference is that here the skin gets a little more crispy.
So here’s how you make the best hot dog, first step, heat your oven to 400°F. Then, line your roasting pan with aluminum foil for easier cleanup and place your hot dogs. For the best results, roast for about 15 minutes until plumped and beginning to brown.

First, insert a skewer and start twirling your beef franks using a paring knife. Remove the skewer and start grilling your hot dogs over medium-high heat. Rotate every now and then until they’re evenly brown.

We’re all used to seeing hot dogs served with yellow mustard and ketchup on top but is that all? Of course not! There is more to hot dog toppings than this. Although they’re yummy, I will give you some non-basic toppings ideas to impress your guests with.
Starting off with the Chicago-style hot dogs, add your pickles, chopped onions, and tomato. Top it with mustard but don’t ever think about adding ketchup to this heavenly combo!

Top Tips For Perfect Results
Tip 1: By slicing your hot dogs you lose the hot dog juices. So if you want the juiciest hot dogs, do not slice them!
Tip 2: If you’re using frozen hot dogs you will have to give them a little more for them to be perfectly cooked.
Tip 3: Try not to keep your hot dogs out for longer than two hours. Not only will they get cold, but they might also grow bacteria. To avoid that from happening, try to keep them warm by wrapping them in aluminum foil.
