Tips for The Best Coleslaw Salad
Tip 1: Cover your coleslaw with saran wrap and refrigerate for at least three hours before eating. This soften the crunch of the cabbage.
Tip 2: If you want to save time and money, then aim at buying the pre-shredded coleslaw mix.
Tip 3: If you are craving an extra kick, then add a bit of Dijon mustard for some added flavor and spice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Refrigerate your coleslaw salad in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days.
Cabbage usually contains bitter components, and to prevent having a bitter aftertaste to your coleslaw I recommend adding a bit of sugar.
This would create a balance of flavor.
If your coleslaw dressing is vinegar-based then you can freeze it. However, I wouldn’t recommend freezing mayonnaise-based coleslaw because the dressing will breakdown when thawed.
