Have you ever imagined that you could make a full meal for a quick lunch from a can of tuna and some other simple ingredients? With this easy and healthy recipe of the Best Tuna Lunch Board, you will create a platter that satisfactorily serves a crowd.

Who says a classic tuna salad can’t be creative and easy? In addition to being a good source of protein, this easy tuna melt recipe brings together health, creativity, and simplicity in a gorgeous form.

The StarKist Tuna Pouches– inspired lunch board has all the essentials of a healthy meal from protein to veggies. All are put together artistically to create an appeal for young and old.

    Savor the Tuna Lunch Board

This is a healthy tuna lunch board. On this wooden board, there are crackers, cherry tomatoes, chopped celeries, lettuce, green onions, and boiled eggs. In the middle of the board, there are tuna chunks.

    Lunch Boards for Hosting Fun

Parties, occasions, and holiday celebrations are all elevated with a lunch board on the dining table. It is a good option, especially if it’s your first time as a host. Guests would greatly like it if they could choose items from the board according to their own tastes.

Lunch boards are then mini recipes that are customizable in terms of personal taste. The best part is the way you can combine distinct flavors into one dish. It is that mix of sweet and sour with salty and tangy that leaves everyone pleased.

In addition, they are versatile based on seasons or times of the year. You can simply exchange some vegetables with other seasonal ones. A perfect way is to include various side sauces and dips from your pantry staples without any additional cost. The result is an exotic display of protein-rich food types that are low-carb as well.

Four tuna packets rest on a table. In front of them there is a board of tuna in the center with veggies, bread, and boiled eggs around this wooden board.

A Tuna Board for Kids’ Appeal

As a parent, it’s not easy to convince my kids to have certain foods, especially healthy ones as fruits and vegetables. But now with board recipes in general and this tuna board in particular, it has become easier for me to make them eat healthy food.

Because this is a customizable platter, I can include various kinds that are kid-friendly. On the tuna board, I usually place green onion and fresh herbs side by side with a lettuce wrap with some little chopping, a piece of toast, slices of bread, and grape tomatoes.

The result is an appetizing tuna salad bursting with different flavors and ready to serve in just minutes. What kids mostly like about that is their act of participation. I often ask them to help me arrange the board. They enjoy choosing their favorite food items and placing them on the lunch board.

Tips for the Best Tuna Lunch Boards

Keep the food items on your board balanced by ensuring they taste good together and come from different food groups.

Don’t clutter your board with too many decorative food items that will most likely not be eaten. Keeping it simple will make it easier to pick and choose what to eat.

Get creative! A fun way is to play around with designs for the layout of the board with your chosen food items. Food is art and what’s appealing to the eye is appealing to the stomach.

Switch up your lunch board style based on the type of lunch and food items being served.

A perfect way is to incorporate food items that add vibrancy and color to appeal to the eye.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How to arrange the tuna lunch board?

Well, there’s no specific way to do so. Since tuna is the star ingredient, you can place it in the center. Then, put the other types all around it.

What kind of board should I use?

Suit yourself with round, square, or rectangular board. A large platter would be a great choice as well.

It stays up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Make sure it is well-covered or otherwise, keep the ingredients in an airtight container.

What to serve with the tuna board?

You can put pita bread, bread sticks with dips, tuna toasts, golden brown potato chips, fresh baguette, or crackers. In this easy way, you turn it into a sandwich recipe where you can make tuna sandwiches.

    Ingredients

Tuna: You can use Starkist e.v.o.o.™ pouches as I did. You can use albacore tuna or chunk light tuna instead.

Boiled eggs: Cut them into thick slices.

Fresh veggies: This healthy lunch recipe gives you the option of including whatever vegetables you like. You can put red onion, lettuce leaves, cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley, red bell pepper, and the list is endless.

Oil: You need it to make the tuna fish salad. It can be extra virgin olive oil or any other cold-pressed extra virgin vegetable oil.

Seasonings: This is also up to your own taste. It can be black pepper or lemon pepper for example.

Other optional ingredients: You can place Kalamata olives, wheat crackers, different cheeses, cubed cheese, melted cheese dip, Greek yogurt,… on the board for variety.
