What Ingredients Do You Need to Make the Perfect Iced Coffee with Keurig or Nespresso?
You will need the following ingredients to make the best-iced coffee recipe:
- A Coffee machine such as Nespresso or Keurig
- K cup or Nespresso coffee
- Tall glasses or a large mason jar cup of choice
- Half and half milk or heavy cream
- Don’t forget the ice! You’ll need a lot to get the coldest, tastiest results.
Nespresso vs. Keurig
Nespresso is a great option if you mostly drink espresso and if you’re looking for a high-end model. It’s also the perfect choice for cappuccinos and lattes and in case you want a specialized capsule recycling program.
You may prefer a Keurig coffee maker if you mostly drink regular brewed coffee, want to save money, and want to buy coffee pods from many brands.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
Absolutely. This recipe can be made in any Keurig model.
It has a more intense flavor, but when combined with ice and a liquid, it loses some of its strength for a softer all-day finish. To produce a stronger coffee flavor, you can use a double shot of espresso.
During the summer, it’s a good idea to stock up on Nespresso iced coffee pods, which are designed to be poured over ice. However, using regular coffee pods is perfectly acceptable.
I would not recommend it since the ice will dilute the coffee and prevent it from cooling properly. The perfect Iced Coffee requires a very cold temperature.
Elevating Your Coffee Experience
Top Tips
- Don’t use sugar to sweeten your iced coffee because it will just sink to the bottom of the cup.
- Use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes for a more intense iced coffee.
- Add a dash of pure vanilla or almond extract to elevate ordinary coffee to something special.
- Make an iced latte. Use frothed milk instead of plain milk. To froth cold milk, shake it in a mason jar or use a handheld milk frother.
- Vegetarian or dairy free: Simply replace the milk in this iced coffee with almond, coconut, or oat milk.
- Add sweetened condensed milk to make this iced coffee even more delicious. To make a copycat Vietnamese coffee, follow the first two steps but replace the milk with 2 or 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk. Pour in the half-and-half and stir to combine. Delish.

Best Iced Coffee with Keurig or Nespresso
Ingredients
- 8 ounces Keurig K cup or 1 (7-8) ounce Nespresso capsule of choice
- ¼ cup ice
- 4 ounces whole milk half in half or heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare your Keurig machine: Fill the water reservoir with fresh water and turn on the machine. Allow it to heat up properly before proceeding.
- Choose your K-Cup or Nespresso capsule: Select the coffee flavor or blend of your choice. If you prefer a stronger iced coffee, consider using a dark roast or an espresso-style capsule.
- Brew your coffee: Insert the K-Cup or Nespresso capsule into the Keurig or Nespresso machine. Place a cup or glass filled with ice under the coffee dispenser.
- If your Keurig allows you to customize the brew size, you can adjust it according to your preference.
- Brew and cool: Start the brewing process and let the hot coffee flow directly over the ice cubes. The ice will cool down the hot coffee, preventing it from becoming too diluted.
- Add milk or cream: After the coffee has finished brewing, add the desired amount of whole milk, heavy cream, or half-and-half to your glass. The amount you add will depend on your taste preferences; you can start with a couple of tablespoons and adjust from there.
- Sweeten and flavor (optional): If you prefer a sweetened or flavored iced coffee, add your choice of sweeteners or flavorings to the coffee. Stir well to ensure they are thoroughly mixed.
- Serve and enjoy: Give your iced coffee one final stir, and your delicious homemade iced coffee is ready to be enjoyed!
