Meet McDonald’s Big Mac Burger!

Your favorite burger was created by Jim Delligatti. The famous burger initially had different names: the Aristocrat, which was a bit difficult to pronounce and understand, and Blue Ribbon Burger.

Its official name, Big Mac, was created by an advertising secretary who worked at McDonald’s corporate headquarters.

Fast forward to this day, McDonald’s Big Mac is insanely popular all over the world!

Trust my words, a taste of this special Mac Sauce would teach you that making plenty of this sauce is the only acceptable option! So, for future reference, here’s how to serve, store, and freeze your sauce!

To serve: Although you can serve this sauce immediately, it is best to refrigerate it for a couple of hours or overnight. But pay attention! Don’t keep it at room temperature for more than a couple of hours.

To store: Place the sauce in an airtight container, or a glass jar, and refrigerate it for about a week.

To freeze: I don’t necessarily recommend freezing the sauce, because you can simply make it anytime! You can literally whip it out in a couple of minutes!

While You Are It…Make a Big Mac Burger!

There is really no right and wrong way to making a burger! It is all about your unique preferences! But just in case, here’s how to make the tastiest Big Mac Burger with your homemade sauce!

Season lean ground beef with salt and pepper, then form them into thin patties.

For this burger, you will want to use sesame seeds buns. Keep in mind that you will need twice the amount of bottom buns as you do for top buns. This burger offers twice the amount of love with 2 beef patties and a 3-piece sesame seeds buns.

As for the vegetables, use finely shredded iceberg lettuce, dill pickle slices, and minced white onions. These options might also change according to your preferences!

You will also need processed American cheese. And for all the cheese lovers, use as many cheese slices as your heart desires! There is no such thing as too much cheese!

Finally, assemble your burger according to this sequence: Bottom bun, Big Mac sauce, cheese, patty, bottom bun, sauce, onion, lettuce, pickle, patty, and top bun.

A Burger Like No Other!

Tips For a Perfect Big Mac Sauce!

Tip 1: This sauce is best used if chilled although when I am rushed I make it and use it right away! You can do that! Pop it in the fridge for a few hours, or better yet overnight, and allow all the ingredients to meld together.

Tip 2: You can use this sauce to marinate your chicken breasts and thighs. Simply marinate the chicken for a few hours, then bake or grill your protein.

Tip 3: Although some recipes call for French Dressing, I don’t necessarily add but if you really want to you can definitely add it!  It can enhances the overall taste although I love the sauce just the way it is!
