My kids absolutely loved these chocolate popsicles and I wasn’t mad about it. They only contain a small about of chocolate chips in them which are totally optional.

I wanted to add a little touch of real milk chocolate to them and they turned out JUST PERFECT!

HOW TO MAKE FUDGESICLES

This fudgesicles recipe is so easy to prepare it barely needs any instructions.

All you need is a popsicle mold, a small pot, cacao powder, milk, eggs, vanilla, and some chocolate chips, which are totally optional and you are on your way!

I would consider them healthy fudgesicles since you are using honey instead of sugar!

First, you heat all the ingredients minus the vanilla extract until they become hot and consistency is thicker.

Then, you add in the vanilla extract and whisk some more. Turn off the heat and allow them to cool for about 10 minutes. Pour them into your mold and place them in the freezer until they set! That is it!

List of ingredients needed to make Six Ingredient-Creamy Chocolate Fudgesicles

Recipe for homemade fudgesicles require only 6 ingredients!

  • honey or sugar
  • eggs

  • chocolate chips
  • vanilla extract

Although the main ingredient is cacao powder, they are the complete chocolate milk fudgesicles! You can even omit the 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips if you want them to be refined sugar free!

First, add the milk, honey, cacao, chocolate chips and eggs to a small pot.  Stir using a whisk over high heat.  Once the milk warms up add the vanilla extract.

Then, once the milk starts to boil it will thicken and become creamy. Turn heat off.

Allow the milk to cool for about 10 minutes.

Pour into mold

Freeze for 2-4 hours or until they set. Creamy chocolate fudgesicles can last in the freezer for up to 3 months, individually wrapped.

DAIRY FREE FUDGESICLES

Can you make this recipe dairy free?! Sure you can… but remember they do have eggs in them so be sure to omit the eggs.

So… you can simply replace the milk or heavy cream with coconut milk and they will come out perfectly creamy! They store for about a week in the freezer in the mold or for 3-4 weeks if you individually wrap them.

I will be sharing some variation recipes like vegan popsicles, dairy free popsicles, keto popsicles, healthy popsicle, yogurt popsicles with different flavors, so keep a lookout for all these yummy variations and flavors!

HOW DO YOU MAKE CHOCOLATE POPSICLES NOT ICY

Here is the best way to make your chocolate popsicle creamy and not icy is to add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the milk mixture.

Now, in the chocolate popsicle recipe I am sharing with you today, I added 2 eggs which make them so so creamy and whipped! You can definitely opt out of adding eggs and starch.

A great alternative if you don’t eat eggs for any reason. Be sure to allow your fudgesicles to thaw out for a few minutes to get that creamy experience!

HOW LONG ARE FUDGESICLES GOOD IN THE FREEZER?

Creamy Chocolate Fudgesicles can last up to 3 months in the fridge if they are individually wrapped. You can most likely find individual popsicle wraps on Amazon.

TIPS TO EASILY PULL OUT POPSICLES FROM THE MOLD

For the chocolate fudge popsicles I made here I used a silicone mold.

The best way I learned to take them out is by using both hand and gently pushing each bar out from the bottom.

Each one will easily slide out. Now, if you are using a plastic mold there are two things you can do.

First, you can spray the molds with cooking oil spray prior to adding the mixture in.

Second, you can run the bottom of the mold under warm water for 10 seconds at a time until it slightly softens. Don ‘t over do it or they will melt and you would have to place them back in the freezer.
