But things changed, or let’s just say… my palette changed? lol. Meeting my husband gave me a push to dive deep into exploring various food. His passion for exploring cuisines rubbed off on me, and well… Here we are!

My eyes finally opened, and my taste buds we blissfully punched into a spicy love story with Mexican food! So okay, maybe it is not fair to our waistline, but it sure is soul satisfying.

This easy Bean Taco Pie recipe is quite easy to prepare, and is guaranteed to become a family favorite. Simply layer it, bake it, then top it with your favorite additions. Enjoy warm seasoned bites, layered tortillas, and other exhilarating flavors in a Taco Pie special take.

Tips for a Perfect Bean Taco Pie

Here’s the part where I provide you with the guidance you didn’t know you needed. Take into consideration these tips for a perfect Bean Taco Pie!

Tip 1: If you want an extra kick, then serve your Bean Taco Pie with some toppings like Taco sauce, tortilla chips, sour cream, black olives, or shredded lettuce.

Absolutely! Prepare the filling ahead of time then pop it in the fridge. But you may have to bake it a bit longer since you are dealing with cold ingredients.


The Ingredients You Need

  • ground meat
  • onion 
  • olive oil
  • taco seasoning
  • corn 
  • refried beans
  • chunky salsa
  • flour tortillas

Follow These Easy Steps

First, in a large skillet, brown the ground meat and onion, then add the 2 packets taco seasoning. Add corn, pace sauce, the refried beans and mix over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Next, in a 9×13 baking dish begin layering. For the first layer, add 1½ cups of taco bean mix, then layer 2 large burritos (they will over lap). Then, top with another layer of 2 burritos and 1½ cups of taco bean meat mix. Sprinkle some cheese, cover it with 2 burritos, and top with the remaining meat. 

Then, bake for 25 minutes. Take it out and cover with a generous amount of cheese, then bake for another 5 minutes. 

Finally, enjoy with your favorite toppings like sour cream, shredded lettuce,  banana peppers, or black olives.

Easy Bean Taco Pie

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 large onion, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 packets taco seasoning
  • 1 15 oz can corn, drained
  • 1 16 oz can refried beans
  • 1 16 oz chunky salsa
  • 6-8 large flour tortillas

Instructions 

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground meat and onion, then add the 2 packets of taco seasoning. Add corn, pace sauce, the refried beans, and mix over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  • In a 9×13 baking dish begin layering. For the first layer, add 1½ cups of the taco bean mix, then layer 2 large burritos (they will over lap).
