What to Top the Balls With

Unsweetened shredded coconut: Sprinkle some unsweetened shredded coconut on top of the date balls to enhance the coconut flavor and add a pleasing texture.

Pro Tips

Use fresh and soft dates: Soft and fresh dates are easier to blend and will provide a smoother texture to the no bake date balls. If your dates are dry, you can soak them in warm water for a few minutes to soften them before blending.

Adjust sweetness: Taste the mixture before rolling them into balls. If you find it needs additional sweetness, you can add a small amount of honey, maple syrup, or a natural sweetener of your choice. However, try to keep the added sweeteners to a minimum.

Melt chocolate carefully: If you’re using a chocolate coating or chocolate chips, melt the chocolate gently using a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.

They are great to serve guests, you can make them look fancy-great treat to curb that sweet tooth. So delicious, the crunch of the tea biscuits is unique and makes all the difference especially with the chocolate, but you can omit the chocolate for lighter version.
