All the Exciting Variations of Apple Nachos
Don’t let the simplicity of apple nachos fool you, the possible combinations of flavors you can get from this toothsome dessert are countless!
Be ready to experience the joy of apples with mouth-watering toppings in the most creative ways!
Apple Nachos Apple Pie Style:
You simply can’t mention an apple dessert, without your mind wandering to the royal bliss that is apple pies. But when you don’t have the time to go through the hassle of baking, apple pie nachos shall do the trick.
For this one, you can start with your favorite apples as a base (tart or sweet). Add granola and pecans or walnuts.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Finish off with cinnamon for that extra warmth and whipped cream for a perfect and most gorgeous-looking plate.
Caramel Apple Nachos:
Now there isn’t a combination lovelier or more exciting than apples and caramel. To get this decadent delight, go for my super easy homemade caramel sauce instead of peanut butter and honey.
You might want to stick to green apples (preferably Granny Smith) for this one to balance the rich sweetness of the caramel.
Add your granolas and drizzle the creamy melted chocolate chips with heavy cream mix on the top. If you’re a chocolate lover, you might want to add even more chocolate chips just for the joy of it.
The Eat-Clean Apple Nachos:
This variation is for all my people who are on special diets or are looking for cleaner snack options. This one is great because it is both vegan and lactose-free. Start with your apples as the base.
Use raw creamy or crunchy peanut butter. Actually, you can go for any nut butter you like. Almond butter or cashew butter is great too.
Use maple syrup instead of honey. Swap the chocolate chips for carob chips. They’re equally tasty and super healthy.
You can add more raisins, dried cranberries, or your favorite nut of choice.
The Confetti Apple Nachos
This version is sweeter and children would all fall in love with it. In addition to the apples, peanut butter, creamy melted chocolate chip sauce, and granola, add marshmallows, sprinkles, or candy.
I’m sure that your children will be pleasantly surprised when finding this colorful treat in their school lunch box.

A faster way would be squeezing some lemons or limes on the apples. This should keep them from browning for a short period of time, but there’s a good chance you’d still taste the lemons.
Mix ¼ cup of yogurt with ½ tablespoon of vanilla and about ½ tablespoon honey and drizzling it on top instead of peanut butter.
Use maple syrup instead of honey. Make sure that your chocolate chips are 100% raw cacao chocolate or simply swap the chocolate chips for carob chips. Use coconut oil instead of heavy cream.
